Harry Styles won’t play Prince Eric in Little Mermaid
Fans of Harry Styles will be disappointed to know that pop music star and occasional actor is reported to not be playing the role of Prince Eric in the live-action remake of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Styles had been in talks to play the part for about a month, but sources confirmed he is no longer in negotiations with Disney.
“While he is a fan of the project, he has respectfully declined the offer,” another source said.
However, other cast remains the same including Halle Bailey as the titular heroine, which re-imagines the 1989 cartoon classic.
‘The Addams Family’ moves to New Jersey
The Addams Family is giving fans a glimpse of the titular family’s move to New Jersey.
MGM released a trailer for the animated film featuring the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard as Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley Addams.
The preview shows the Addamses and their extended family attempting to adjust to a bright suburban neighbourhood. The Addams’ strange ways are met with suspicion from their neighbours, who declare the family ‘monsters’ who will ruin the neighbourhood. Wednesday, meanwhile, manages to impress some of her classmates with a science experiment.
The Addams Family is directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan and also features the voices of Catherine O’Hara, Nick Kroll, Martin Short, Bette Midler and Snoop Dogg. The movie released a first teaser in April and opens in theatres October 11.
Adam Lambert to release new EP in September
Adam Lambert will release part one of his new EP in September. The singer shared a release date, September 27, and track list for Velvet: Side A which will include the songs “Superpower,” “Stranger You Are,” “Closer to You,” “Overglow,” “Loverboy” and “Ready to Run.”
Lambert has yet to announce a release date for part two. Velvet: Side A is his first studio release since the album The Original High, which debuted in June 2015. Lambert is in the midst of The Rhapsody world tour with Queen and Adam Lambert. The tour ends February 29, 2020, in Gold Coast, Australia.
