GUJRAT: A local journalist was shot dead by armed men at the entrance of his house at Puran village in Sara-i-Alamgir Saddar police precinct late on Friday night.

Mirza Waseem Baig who worked as correspondent for 92 News channel came out of his car at the entrance of the house when he was ambushed by two motorcyclists who sprayed bullets at him. Police said the journalist suffered injuries and died in hospital.

The newsmen condemned the murder of their colleague and demanded the arrest of culprits.
