HYDERABAD: A total of 10,085 candidates appeared in the pre-entry test for admission to Mehran Uni­ver­sity of Engineering and Technology (MUET) on Jam­shoro and Khairpur Mirs campuses on Wednes­day.

The candidates competed for 1,900 seats for admission in 18 technologies in Jamshoro and six technologies in Khairpur Mirs campuses. Separately, 8,692 girl and 393 boy students appeared in the test.

Addressing the students university, MUET Vice Chan­ce­llor Prof Dr Mohammad Aslam Uqaili said that Wednesday would mark the day of success and change for those who cleared the pre-entry test that day.

He stated that Mehran university was among Pakistan’s top ranking university which had also started programmes in business and science education in addition to engineering education.
