U-17 hockey camp

ISLAMABAD, July 31: A training camp to select the National Bank under-17 team for participation in this month’s National Junior Hockey Championship is due to begin here on Monday.

Camp commandant Rana Mujahid said that the team will be selected from among 26 players all of whom will start training at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Ground where the national senior camp is also in progress.

“The boys will train after the seniors finish their practice in the morning while they will do so before the national side go through their paces in the evening,” Rana said.

Rana, who is also the assistant coach of the seniors, said that the duration of the junior camp will be 10 days.

The junior championship is to begin in Faisalabad from Aug 20.
