KARACHI: The draws for Defence Day SSB Cup Basketball Tournament being organized by Pakistan Sports Welfare Association and Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in collaboration with Sindh Sports Board (SSB) will be held today at 7 p.m. at Abdul Nasir Basketball Courts , Arambagh.

On the occasion KBBA will organize a befitting proramme to highlight the day’s significance. DC South Syed Salahuddin Ahmed will be the chief guest on the occasion and will pay tributes to the Defence Day heroes.

On the occasion, KBBA will confer Defence Day GOLD medal on Syed Salahuddin Ahmed in recognition of his services to sports, particularly the game of basketball.

Meanwhile, the names of participating teams of the event have been announced. They are Maj. Aziz Bhatti Shaheed XI, Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas XI, Maj. Muhammad Akram XI, Maj. Shabbir Shaheed XI, Sawar Muhammad Hussain XI.
Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz IX, Capt Sher Khan XI, Hawaldar Lalak Jan XI, Pilot Officer Maryam Mukhtar XI, and Raja Muhammad Sarwar XI.
