LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar attended the annual ghusal ceremony of the shrine of Hazrat Ali Bin Usman Al-Hajvery (RA), known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh.

He participated in the ghusal (washing) of the grave of the saint with rosewater and laid a floral wreath on it.

Mr Buzdar and thousands of other devotees prayed for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country. They also offered special prayers for the liberation of Kashmiri people from the occupation of Indian forces.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said all the spiritual personalities, including Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), had given teachings of peace and harmony in the sub-continent. He prayed for freedom to the Kashmiris of the held Kashmir.

Provincial ministers Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Sardar Asif Nakai, Ajmal Cheema, advisor Aun Chaudhry, MPA Nazir Chohan, the secretary Auqaf, commissioner Lahore Division, CCPO Lahore and a large number of devotees participated in the ceremony.
