SWABI: A woman and her husband were killed allegedly by the former’s father and brothers as she had contracted the marriage without their consent in the Hund village here, police said on Saturday.

Registering an FIR in Chota Lahor city police station, a resident of Bahram Banda, Hund, said the woman’s father and uncle forcibly entered his house and opened fire on his daughter-in-law, killing her on the spot.

He said later the attackers rushed to the nearby maize fields where they killed his son. The complainant said the woman had married his son without the consent of her parents.

The police registered the case and started further investigations.

Meanwhile, a petty dispute claimed life of one person in Marghuz village the other day. The victim was identified as Sabeel Ahmad and the attacker, Yamin Khan. The victim succumbed to injuries in Bacha Khan Hospital Complex.
