KHUZDAR: Balochistan Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar reviewed the pace of work on ongoing development projects during his visit to Khuzdar and Kalat districts on Sunday.

He visited some under-construction projects in Khuzdar which included Shaheed Sikandar Zahri University, Regional Training Centre of Levies, Trauma Centre and Digital Library and Commissioner Complex.

Commissioner of Kalat division Hafiz Mohammad Tahir, Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar Maj retired Mohammad Ilyas Kibzai, DIG of Kalat Range Agha Mohammad Yousuf and other senior officials were present on the occasion. Commissioner and other officials concerned briefed the chief secretary on progress on the ongoing development projects and prevailing law and order situation.

The chief secretary expressed satisfaction over the pace of work on the development projects. He directed authorities concerned to ensure timely completion of all ongoing development schemes.

Project Director of Shaheed Sikandar Zahri University Rehmatullah Zahri informed the chief secretary that Rs2.84 billion had already been spent on the construction of Administration Block, Boys and Girls Hostels, residential area of officers and staff and also on construction of bungalows for academic staff of the university.

About the regional training centre for Levies, the chief secretary was informed that Levies personnel from all over the province arrived here for training.

Mr Asghar also met contractors of the project and asked them to complete the scheme in time.
