RAWALPINDI: Dr Abdul Motaleb Malik, Minister for Health, Labour and Family Planning, and Lt Gen Abdul Hamid Khan, Deputy Chief Martial Law Administrator, will act as President and Chief Martial Law Administrator respectively during the absence abroad of the President and Chief Martial Law Administrator, Gen A.M. Yahya Khan.

A Press Note issued here from the Headquarters of the Chief Martial Law Administrator said: “It is hereby notified that, during the forthcoming absence abroad of the President and Chief Martial Law Administrator, General Agha Mohammad Yahya Khan ... Dr Abdul Motaleb Malik, Minister for Health, Labour and Family Planning, will perform the functions of President in an acting capacity and Lt Gen Abdul Hamid Khan... Deputy Chief Martial Law Administrator (Pakistan Army), will function as the Acting Chief Martial Law Administrator until the President and Chief Martial Law Administrator resumes the duties of his offices.”
