CHARSADDA: Three people, a woman among them, were killed and three others injured in separate incidents in Charsadda district on Saturday.

A woman was killed in the Nissata police station limits allegedly over a monetary dispute. The police registered the case on the complaint of the mother of the deceased against Sajid, a resident of Kakarkhel area of Nissata, who escaped the area after the incident.

In the other incident, a man was killed allegedly over a women’s dispute in Jamalabad area of Harichand. The victim was identified as Faizur Rehman.

The police registered the case against the accused, Mehr Nawaz Khan, and started investigations.

Also, a man was killed and his brother seriously injured when their rivals opened fire on them in Mian Kalay area of Prang.

The Prang police registered case on the complaint of the injured man, Osama. He told police that three accused namely Hamdullah, Sakhawat Shah and Asif Ali opened fire, killing his brother named Saida Jan on the spot and injuring him.

The motive behind the incident was stated to be an exchange of harsh words between the victim and the accused.

Meanwhile, a man opened fire on his niece and another man on suspicion of having illicit relations, injuring them seriously.

The police arrested the accused.

The injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar.The police registered the case and started further investigations.
