SIALKOT: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says the PTI government is striving to raise the living standard of the people by ensuring provision of the basic facilities at their doorsteps.

She was speaking at a public meeting held at Bhaagowal village after inaugurating the newly established Nadra Swift Registration Center (NSRC) here on Sunday.

It was the second NSRC in her electoral constituency (NA-72, Sialkot-I) here. Earlier, she had established a Nadra office and a regional passport office at her native Koobey Chak village to facilitate the people of her constituency.

She also laid the foundation stone of reconstruction of the Sialkot-Head Marala Road during a special ceremony held at Kotli Loharaan village.

She said Ehsaas and Sehat card initiatives were revolutionary steps Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken. She said 10.5 million families would benefit from the Sehat cards. The government, she said, was making efforts to provide relief to the marginalised segments of society.

Earlier, she inaugurated the Nadra Swift Registration Centre at Bhaagowal village.
