MARDAN: Two people were killed and one suffered critical injuries as the rival group attacked them in Polel Ganj Shagu Kuroono area here on Monday.

The incident occurred after children of the two groups brawled.

The police claimed they had arrested the suspected killers, including Ghareeb Gul and his son, Rehan.

Head of the Par Hoti police station Abdus Salam Khan told Dawn that Ghareeb Gul and Rehan fired gunshots at Afsar Khan, his grandson Shahab and other relative Iftikhar.

He said Afsar Khan was injured, while Shahab and Iftikhar died on the spot.

The Par Hoti police registered an FIR against Ghareeb Gul and Rehan on the complaint of injured Afsar Khan and began investigation.
