HARIPUR: Three persons, including a man and his minor son, were killed in two road accidents here on Tuesday.

The first accident was reported from Hattar. According to the local police and eyewitnesses, Safdar Sultan, a resident of Mohallah Chamb in Hattar, was taking his ailing son and daughter to a hospital in Haripur on his motorcycle and they were accompanied by his friend Tariq.

It was stated that when they reached near Safari Bricks Industry, a loader truck got in reverse mode accidentally and all the bike riders fell behind the moving truck. Safdar and his eight-year-old son Azan Ali were crushed to dead on the spot, while his daughter Fiza Bibi, 4, and friend Tariq were hit and critically injured. Local people and rescue workers shifted the bodies and the injured to Haripur Trauma Centre.

In the second road accident, Rehan Khan, 15, of Bagra No 2 Haripur, was crossing GT Road near Gondan Stop when a speeding jeep (LEC 7236) hit him and after falling a hiace (RPT 7777) coming from Abbottabad ran over the boy, killing him on the spot.
