SWABI: A teacher was killed in a road accident here on Friday.

Raees Iqbal, a subject specialist at government higher secondary school, Maneri Payyan, was going home on a motorcycle, when he was hit by a speeding car near his village in Gar Munara. He died on the spot.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Rashid Mehmood held an open kutchery at government high school, Kotha, where officials of public sector departments and people from different walks of life were present.

The people complained against officials of various departments, and the deputy commissioner directed the officials to take prompt action for resolution of people’s problems. He said the district administration would leave no stone unturned in serving the people.
