PESHAWAR, Aug 3: Water level in rivers is returning to normal as Indus River at Besham, Kabul River at Warsak and Shah Alam River were in medium flood, discharging 289,500 cusecs, 47,810 cusecs and 5,200 cusecs respectively, Hydrology Irrigation department said on Wednesday.
Similarly, Chitral River at Chitral, Kabul River at Warsak and Swat River at Monda Headworks were in medium flood, discharging 26,200 cusecs, 70,500 cusecs and 34,870 cusecs, a press release said.
Likewise, Swat River at Amandara Headworks and Kurram River at Kurram Ghari Headworks were at normal level as water flow was recorded at 17,026 cusecs and 2,614 cusecs. The release further said the Gambilla River at Gambilla Bridge and Khaili River were in low flood, discharging 3,162 cusecs and 19,899 cusecs.
The overall situation in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Dera Ismail Khan, Chitral and Swat districts was normal and under control. —APP
