ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regu­la­tory Authority (Pemra), on recommendations of the Council of Complaints, has banned appearance of an analyst, Hafeez Ullah Niazi, on any TV channel for 30 days.

In a programme on Geo News on July 6, Mr Niazi levelled certain allegations against Senator Azam Swati which the channel could not substantiate before the Council of Complaints.

The council extended sufficient time to the channel to prove veracity of its comments uttered by the said analyst during the programme. But, the channel could not come up with a satisfactory reply.
