LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cyber crime wing on Wednesday arrested two suspects separately on charges of harassing and blackmailing women on social media.

In a complaint, Muhammad Muzammil alleged that Azeem Khan was harassing and blackmailing his sister by uploading her objectionable pictures on a social media site.

Deputy Director Chaudhry Sarfraz constituted an FIA team that raided the house of Khan and arrested him. It also recovered objectionable material related to the woman.

In another incident, the FIA arrested Muhammad Asif of Yakki Gate on the complaint of a girl’s mother that he uploaded her daughter’s objectionable pictures on a social media site.

A case was registered against both suspects under sections 139, 20, 21 and 24 of PECA.

Meanwhile, in a crackdown on grey trafficking, four illegal gateway exchanges were unearthed by the FIA in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority in Multan and suspect Abdul Haleem arrested.
