QUETTA: An accountability court on Wednesday acquitted the former commissioner of Quetta, Kambar Dashti, in a reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau, Balochistan.

Former deputy commissioner Dawood Khan Khilji, Jan Jamaldani and two others were also acquitted in this case of purchasing land for the construction of a flyover in Quetta.

The Judge of the Accountability Court, Quetta, Munawwar Shahwani, also ordered release of all these government officials.

Meanwhile, the hearing of a mega corruption case was adjourned till Oct 25 as the investigation officer could not appear before the court. Former Balochistan finance sec­retary Mushtaq Ahmed Rai­sani and three other accused in the case appeared before the court.
