KARACHI: Deputy Speaker Rehana Laghari on Thursday adjourned the Sindh Assembly’s session, which was scheduled to be held on Friday (today), for Monday.
Lawmakers in the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party said the key reason for adjourning the session was that the party would be holding a public meeting on Friday in Karachi marking the 12th anniversary of twin bomb attacks on Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming parade at Karsaz.
However a notification, issued by the Sindh Assembly’s secretariat on Thursday, cited no reasons for adjournment of the sitting. The deputy speaker ordered that the session would be resumed on Monday afternoon instead of Friday.
