LAHORE: The government’s committee, mandated to hold dialogue with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head Defence Minister Pervez Khattak telephoned Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and asked him to join its meeting on Tuesday.

Mr Elahi could not attend the committee meeting on Saturday owing to personal engagements. Mr Khattak asked him to attend the meeting on Tuesday. Mr Elahi, who is also a member of the committee, assured him of his participation.
