Murder probe

Police have formed three teams to resolve the case of abduction and murder of a 12-year-old boy whose body was found near a nullah on G.T. Road in Taxila on Sunday.

Rawalpindi’s Potohar Town SP Syed Ali told mediapersons on Tuesday that these teams would work under the supervision of SSP operations, Rawalpindi, Mohammad Faisal. He said officials from the counter-terrorism department as well as IT department would also be part of these teams.

He said that besides geo-fencing of the place of the incident the footage from nearby CCTV cameras would also be obtained to identify the culprit behind the murder of 12-year-old boy Wasif Shah, the son of a motor mechanic.

“According to the preliminary medical examination no signs of sexual assault were found on the body,” SP Ali said.
