SAHIWAL: The Anti-Corruption Establishment on Thursday booked newly-elected president of the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shaikh Fasil Ikram and nine others for fraud under Section 204 of PPC.

ACE Special Judge Muhammad Abbas has ordered that all the suspects must be arrested and presented before the court on Nov 18.

Reports said during 2015 Ikram along with two medical officers Dr Zahid and Dr Sharafat, a sub-inspector Akhter Ali and five other businessmen Shaikh Riaz, Muhammad Khursheedul Haq, Haji Gulzar, Mushtaq Ahmed and Muhammad Amin had allegedly submitted a fake affidavit and later managed to steal fake documents from the court record.

The ACE completed its investigation and asked the parties to present their defence. On non-compliance of court order, they were booked for fraud.

ACCIDENT: A nursery class student was run over and crushed by a tractor-trolley at village 45/5-L on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses said five-year-old Muhammad Zan was on his way back home from school when tractor-trolley driver Shahbaz ran over him, killing him on the spot.

Yousafwala police have registered a case against Shahbaz under PPC 320 on the complaint of boy’s grandfather Khuda Bakish.

KILLED: A villager, Mazhar (35), was killed by robbers on resistance at village 14/23-L on Wednesday night.

Reports said some suspects broke into Mazhar’s farm house and starting loading his sheep and goats on a truck. Mazhar offered resistance and during a scuffle one of the robbers shot him dead. Shahkot Police have registered a case against unknown dacoits.
