HYDERABAD: The trussed-up body of a youth was found stuffed in a bag, which was dumped near Wadhu Wah locality within the jurisdiction of the Bhitai Nagar police station on Friday.

The victim was identified as Mubeen Jhatial, 19, son of Akbar Ali Jhatial. Circumstantial evidence suggested that he was throttled to death. His hands and legs were tied.

His family told the area police that Mubeen, a first-year student of the Govt Degree College, Qasimabad, had left the home after receiving a phone call of his friend at around 9pm on Thursday. The victim’s uncle, Madad Ali Jhatial, said that when Mubeen was contacted over his mobile phone, he said he was sitting at his friend’s mobile phone shop in Marvi Town. One hour later, his [Mubeen’s] mobile phone was found switched off, Mr Jhatial added.

The victim was a resident of Al-Fatah Colony, located within the jurisdiction of the Baldia police station.
