DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Five members of a nomad family were killed and eight others suffered injuries when a tractor-trolley they were travelling in fell into a ravine on Dera-Zhob Road here on Wednesday.

Police and hospital sources said that the nomad family was going from Zhob to Dera Ismail Khan when the brakes of the tractor failed and it fell into a ravine near Kot in Darazinda area.

As a result, two women, two children and a man were killed, while eight others, including women and children, were injured. The bodies and the injured were shifted to the Darazinda hospital, where condition of three of them was stated to be precarious. Later, the injured were shifted to the Dera hospital.

The police registered the case and started further investigations.
