MUZAFFARGARH: A woman who had thrown acid on a family was arrested from Sindh by Alipur police on Friday.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar said Naseem Mai had thrown acid where three members of a family were burnt badly. The injured were sent to Nishtar Hospital, Multan for treatment while she fled to Sindh province. A police team arrested her on Friday.

The DPO said Naseem was angry with the family for refusing the marriage proposal of her relative for their girl. Alipur police registered the case against her.

KILLED: A trader was killed by robbers in Khangarh over resistance.

Police said unidentified robbers killed Ghulam Muhammad Khan, a trader of mangoes, during a robbery. Police registered the case.
