SWABI: All the five local leaders of Awami National Party, who were issued show-cause notices a week ago, have demanded that an impartial inquiry committee should be formed by the central leadership to decide their fate and role in the party, insiders told this correspondent on Saturday.
In their replies to the notices, sent to party’s provincial president Aimal Wali Khan, they claimed that they had not indulged in any grouping in the party and worked with determination for strengthening the party position in the district.
According to the replies, seen by this correspondent, the five activists demanded that they should be given a chance to have a meeting with party’s central president Asfandyar Wali Khan so as to explain their position and remain in the party.
