BAHAWALPUR: PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has vowed to form a national government in the country.
Addressing a PPP workers’ convention at Uch Sharif, about 70 kms from here, on Monday, Bilawal continued with his tirade against the Imran Khan government and criticised the policies particularly the federal budget and prime minister’s announcement of construction of five million houses.
The PPP chairman said his party would continue to face the ‘inefficient’ prime minister and would form a national government at all costs. He referred to the federal budget which, he said, had made the lives of the people a hell.
Advocating support for the farming community, Bilawal said the government inflicted economic damage on farmers.
Referring to the construction of five million houses in the country, he said thousands of poor people had been rendered shelterless instead.
Bilawal during his address also criticised government’s media policy. He said the media was not free and the government had silenced the people’s voice.
About Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Azadi march, he said: “We have supported him.”
During the address of Bilawal, the slogans of “go selected go” were also raised by the attendees.
Later, the PPP chairman and former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani congratulated the PML-N for the bail of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz.
