THATTA: Moderate rain accompanied by strong winds lashed the city and its adjoining areas on Wednesday evening, filling up all low-lying areas and uprooting a number of trees. Farmers believe the rain will prove to be beneficial for standing crops particularly vegetables and orchards. It also rained in Sujawal, Shahbandar, Jati and Ladyu.
