KARACHI: Ali Naqi starred with a splendid all-round performance while inspiring SHC Greens to a clinical 105-run rout of SHC Blues in their league-round fixture of the first Sindh High Court Independence Day Cup T20 Colour-kit Tournament here the other day.

In the day’s other match, which was also played at the UBL Sports Complex, Arya Sports eased to a six-wicket vict­ory over Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Association (PLCA).

Batting first, SHC Greens amassed 205-4 with opener Asghar Raza scoring an unbeaten 57, Ali Naqi 35, Sajid Pechuho 33 and Asad Afridi 32.

SHC Blues, in reply, limped to 100-9 with opener Mohammad Rizwan making 29. Man-of-the-match Ali stood out with his off-breaks to grab four wickets for only eight runs in his four-over quota, while Sajid took 2-4 in two overs.

PLCA recovered from 56-4 to post 142-7 against Arya Sports on the back of 66-run partnership between Atif Baig (28) and Hanif Shehzad (37).

Seamer Adil Rehman (3-37) and off-spinner Usman Javed (2-16) were the main wicket-takers for Arya Sports.

Arya Sports knocked off the required runs in 18.1 overs thanks to an undefeated 70 from man-of-the-match Zahid Umrani. Opener Saqib Afridi contributed 40.
