ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the newly established Strategic Policy Planning Cell would help in informed policymaking.

He was talking to Dr Moeed Yusuf, who heads the cell as its chairman.

The cell is based in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and it has been tasked with providing input on issues that fall under the National Security Committee’s mandate.

The PMO said the cell would create “a link between ground realities and long-term challenges facing the country and the policy formulation”.

Mr Khan said: “Strategic analysis and planning is a priority for me to ensure better policy making in the country.”
