PM takes notice of officers' inaction on complaints lodged on Pakistan Citizen Portal app

Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the inaction of officers regarding citizens' complaints lodged on the Pakistan Citizen Portal app, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.
Quoting Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the report added that all ministries and departments have been directed to form five-member committees to "conduct performance evaluation and submit their reports within 30 days".
"The [PMO] had observed that complaints were disposed of without proper inquiry, satisfactory reply, and documentary evidence," the report stated, adding that the departments took "unnecessary time" in addressing complaints and the decision to resolve complaints was taken by "unconcerned officials".
The PMO has written a letter to the ministries and provincial departments, Radio Pakistan reported.
The five-member committees will be headed a grade 20 officer or a joint secretary. Following an evaluation of the deployed officers, a report will be submitted.
The committees will note misconduct in reports on the portal for both resolved and pending complaints as well as point out those who were responsible for both good and bad performances.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government launched the portal on October 28, 2018. In February, it was declared the second best government mobile application in the world at the World Government Summit.

This portal is not solving problems properly. I am Bahria town karachi victim like thousands others. Bahria is not giving us land and deep silence is there. Portal showed it as resolved without solving the problem.

Submitted a complaint against my bill sent by PESCO. PESCO reminded 7 times to the reginoal office to submit a reply but in vain. In the end PESCO central office replied that instructions have been given to resolve the issue and the complaint was closed. WAPDA is a mafia.

Good news! I had personally lodged a complaint against tinted glasses in cars. It was closed by being "partially resolved" although no action has been taken yet.

I lodged a complaint on PM portal and after few days the status was shown as "resolved". However, I was hardly contacted by any official. That's the bogus portal indeed!

Thank you, Imran Khan. I have also submitted a complaint and it was forwarded to the concerned department within 5 day by PM office but unfortunately, it has been about a month and the concerned department (MDA Sindh) has not resolved it yet and not updated me on the progress on it. I still appreciate Imran Khan for this app and his sincerity to resolve people's problems.

It is a top app. But bureaucrats will find it difficult to be on their toes while resolving the frequent complaints, when they have spent decades following the usual red-tape, where everything is super-slow motion.

I can personally confirm that our reported complaint remains pending after one year and yet the portal says it "has been resolved", by just saying that the file has been sent to the relevant desk.. what a shame a pity.. such scan and sham!

This application is best E-governanace initiative,although there's still issues regarding awareness of common masses about using modern technology, and issues such as bureaucratic tactics of asking credentials ( not necessary) for disposing of cases.

First of all , the authority to put off the complaint should be with the complainant.. Most of time the complaint is closed by concerned department against whom the complaint has been lodged. So whats the point in lodging the complaint at first place.
Secondly the department harasses the complainant by giving more notices for penalizing the citizen of complaining against them.
