KP governor summons assembly session today

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman has summoned the provincial assembly session on Wednesday (today), said a notification issued here on Tuesday. The sitting will start at 2pm.

Two MPAs-elect on reserved seats for women are scheduled to take oath during the session. Aisha Bibi of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf hailing from Mohmand tribal district and Baseret Khan of Balochistan Awami Party belonging to Khyber tribal district will be administered oath.

Apart from other items on the agenda the government will table the Muslim Family Laws (Amendment), Bill, 2019, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Panahgah (shelter) Bill, 2019.

Provincial ombudsman annual report 2017 will also be presented in the assembly, according to the agenda.
