Major reshuffle in KP police department

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief on Sunday transferred nine senior officials, including the capital city police officer (CCPO) Peshawar.

A notification issued from the central police office said CCPO Peshawar Mohammad Karim Khan (PSP BS-20) has been transferred and posted DIG police headquarters. Mohammad Ali Khan, another PSP officer of BS-20, who was serving as regional police officer (RPO) Mardan, has been transferred and posted CCPO Peshawar.

Mr Karim Khan was appointed CCPO in June this year.

Captain retired Feroz Shah (PSP BS-20), who was heading the Dera Ismail Khan police range, has been transferred and posted additional IGP investigation branch.

Syed Imtiaz Shah (PSP BS-20), awaiting posting at the CPO, has been transferred and posted RPO Dera Ismail Khan.

AIG investigations Salman Chaudhry (PSP BS-20), has been transferred and posted AIG internal accountability branch. DIG headquarters Sher Akbar (PSP BS-20) has been transferred and posted RPO Mardan. District police officer South Waziristan Atiqullah Wazir (PSP BS-19) has been transferred and posted deputy commandant elite force, while Waseem Ahmed, commandant campus police, has been transferred and posted DPO South Waziristan. AIG operations Iftikharuddin has been transferred and posted commandant campus police.
