APROPOS the editorial ‘Iskandar Mirza’ (Nov 15). Mirza set an unfortunate precedent by abrogating the constitution and imposing martial law. It damaged our laws and led us to lose a part of our country.

However, one thing I must say about Mirza is that he was honest and did not have flats in the UK, or sold Malir land. He worked in a hotel to live and bear daily expenses. This was his honesty.

I APPLAUD Dawn for its timely editorial to dispel the myth of martial law as the solution to the disability current crises arising out of the JUI-F’s dharna and the blockages of major highways of the country.
