ISLAMABAD, Aug 11: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry will chair a three-member bench of the Supreme Court Branch Registry, Lahore, for one week from August 15, an official handout said on Thursday.

Apart from the published cause list, the bench will also hear urgent cases, especially petitions and appeals pertaining to the forthcoming elections of local bodies.

All the branch registries including the principal seat at Islamabad have been directed to send all petitions and appeals pertaining to local bodies elections to Lahore for disposal.
