LAHORE, Aug 12: All the seeded players qualified for the quarterfinals of the Independence Day table tennis tournament singles’ event at Chroma Complex on Friday. Top seed Bilal Yasin (Wapda) beat Owais Hasan (Railways) 11-5, 11-3, 8-11, 11-7, while Imran Malik (Lesco) went to full distance before he eliminated the challenge from Shujat Ali (Faisalabad) 8-11, 6-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-9.

The singles matches in the amateur and upcoming categories were also held.
