Hyderabad Board wins girls throwball title

HYDERABAD: Winning team of BISE Hyderabad and runner-up team BISE Karachi are seen with chief guest Ms Shahid Abro and PTF Secretary General Maqbool Arain after the inter-board throwball final here on Friday.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad BISE Board beat Karachi BISE Board 2-1 in a thrilling final to win the All-Pakistan Inter-Board Girls Throwball title and the gold medal here on Friday. Bannu finished third.

Hyderabad girls displayed superb game and never allowed Karachi’s strong outfit to settle down in a close match that was eventually won by Hyderabad.

Ms Shahid Abro, Director Hyderabad Education Department, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed prizes, trophies, medals and certificates to winners, runner-ups and third position teams.

Teams which participated in the girls event included of BISE Hyderabad, BISE Karachi, BISE Sukkur, BISE Mirpurkhas, BISE Larkana and BISE Mardan.

Also present on this occasion were Maqbool Arain, Secretary Pakistan & World Throwball Federation, Adnan Vohra, Pervaiz Sheikh, Ayesha Razzak and Ms Kiran Vohra.
