SUKKUR: Prominent figures of different communities were among hundreds of citizens who took out a rally on Sunday in favour of Gen Pervez Musharraf in Jacobabad on the directive of Federal Minister Muhammedmian Soomro.

They demanded of the honourable court to review its decision in order to end unrest prevailing among people of the country.

According to reports, participants of the rally were carrying the portraits of Pervez Musharraf, and banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of Musharraf. They marched from the Adam Khan Panhwar road up to the local press club.

Local leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) said that the court’s verdict was disappointing.
