LAHORE: A farewell and welcome dinner was held on Monday in the honour of Lahore High Court outgoing Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan and Chief Justice-designate Mamoon Rashid Sheikh, respectively.

The dinner also attended by other judges of the LHC was hosted by the officers and employees of the court.

Chief Justice Khan will be reaching superannuation on Dec 31, while Justice Sheikh will take oath as 48th chief justice of the LHC on Jan 1.

Appointed as high court judge on Feb 19, 2010, Justice Khan served as chief justice for one year.

Chief Justice-designate Justice Sheikh will retire on March 18, 2020.
