NOWSHERA: The police arrested two persons for allegedly assaulting a teenage girl in Pir Sabaq area here on Monday.

The girl, a student of a religious seminary, alleged that two persons abducted her in a vehicle when she was going to the madressah and assaulted her.

Police produced the two accused in a local court, and obtained their one-day physical remand.

The police said the girl was brought to the district headquarters hospital, Nowshera, for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested 10 persons and recovered 10kg hashish from their possession during different raids.
