KARACHI: Defending PSL champions Quetta Gladiators on Thursday announced the team captain and its support staff for the upcoming PSL 5 edition.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaz Ahmed has been retained as captain of the team while the support staff included Sir Viv Richards (mentor), Azam Khan (manager), Moin Khan (head coach), Abdul Razzaq (bowling coach), Julian Fountain (fielding coach), Nisar Khan (physiotherapist, Muhammad Shakir Khilji (analyst) Rashid Qureshi (trainer), Nabeel Hashmi (media manager), Faraz Maqbool (asst media manager).

Team owner Nadeem Omar, while announcing the names of captain and support staff, said he is very confident that his team will once again excel in the Pakistan Super League and will retain the coveted title because it is a winning combination.

“I have full faith in my players, captain, mentor, coach and the rest of the support staff and Inshallah we will once again lift the trophy,” Nadeem said in a statement. “We are all so glad that the entire PSL will be staged in Pakistan this time and this will definitely attract fans and celebrities in big numbers at the stadiums and will see exciting matches throughout.”
