Winter is here and it is getting colder with every passing day. I am sure you all have everything that can keep you warm from head to toe. But you can still make something cute for yourself this winter that will prove very useful. That is fingerless gloves and that also from old socks.
Today’s DIY is all about making the fingerless gloves, which, besides being cool looking, are great for keeping you warm as well as giving a good grip.
Things you need:
Old pair socks
Hot glue (optional)
Scissors
Beads, buttons or felt patterns to decorate
Directions:
Basically, there are two ways to make these fingerless gloves, the first one is:
Socks have two parts, the feet and the longer part that comes on the ankle and shin. The first way to make fingerless glove is to lay out the socks straight by placing the toe-side outwards and put your hand on it. Measure the size of your hand and the place of your thumb, pictures 2.
Leave two inches from the top and cut it out; from the heel, make a small hole for the thumb, picture 3.
Fold the edge inside at the
top and at the thumb hole, pictures 4, 5.
- I used felt patterns just
to give the glove a distinct
look, you can leave as it is or decorate the way you like, pictures 6 and 7.
The second technique: lay the sock toe-side down and ankle up, picture 8.
Like the previous one, put your hand on it and mark the area from where you have to cut, picture 9.
In this method, you have to make tiny hole at the heel for the thumb, and cut out the toe part, picture 10.
Voila! Your very own warm fingerless gloves are ready!
