KOHAT: The police solved a blind murder case of a young man whose body was found buried under stones in Laal Mela, Nasratkhel, on December 29, 2019, in the jurisdiction of cantonment police station and arrested two of the accused on Friday.

DSP Bashir Dad told mediapersons at a briefing here that two of the accused had been arrested with the weapon used in the murder and mobile phone of the deceased.

They captured Naubat Khan of Nasratkhel and Mohammad Wali of Parachinar who during interrogation admitted to having killed their friend over a money dispute.

LOW GAS PRESSURE: District magistrate, Kohat, by enforcing section 144 has ordered suspension of supply to all CNG filling stations for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening till January 30, 2020, to overcome low pressure problem being faced by domestic consumers.

Deputy commissioner Matiullah Khan ordered that gas would remain suspended to the CNG stations from 6:30am to 8:30am and 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

PESCO CLARIFIES: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has clarified a news item published in this newspaper on Friday.

It said in a statement issued in Peshawar that Liaquat Memorial Hospital, Kohat, was fed through 11KV new city-1 feeder, which was a commercial feeder as the hospital had no dedicated feeder.

It said that presently six hours loadshedding was being carried out on this public feeder. It said that bifurcation of this feeder was in last stages due to which frequent shutdowns were being made by construction subdivision, Kohat, to complete the work.

The Pesco denied receiving any application for provision of dedicated feeder for the health facility.
