SIALKOT: The people of Pasrur complained on Friday to the Sialkot deputy commissioner (DC) about the failure of officials of the Pasrur Municipal Committee to resolve their civic issues in the city.

During an open court of DC Dr Nasir Bashir in the Pasrur city, the local people expressed their dismay over the poor performance of the Pasrur Municipal Committee and local police’s rude behaviour towards the public.

They said cleanliness and sanitation situation had become bad to worse in the city as the heaps of garbage could be witnessed everywhere. DC Dr Basahir expressed his displeasure over the poor performance of the municipality and directed the officials to ensure the early removal of the trash heaps from roads.

About a week ago, local sanitary workers dumped garbage in front of the offices of the Pasrur municipality to lodge their protest against the officials for not resolving their problems.

The DC resolved several public complaints instantly. Senior police and district administration officials attended the court. They pledged to leave no stone unturned to serve the public.
