LAHORE: A judicial magistrate on Friday granted physical remand of a lady doctor to Chuhng police in teenage maid murder case.

The police produced Dr Humaira Junaid before the magistrate with a request for her physical remand.

The investigating officer also submitted initial report of the case and said the suspect allegedly killed her domestic worker Sana, 14, with physical torture. The magistrate granted three-day physical remand of the suspect to the police.

The police had recovered the body of the maid from the house of the doctor.

The doctor and her husband claimed that they found Sana dead when they returned home from job.

However, the police said the couple used to torture their maid and she succumbed to her injuries due to non-provision of medical facility.
