ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Hamza Khan entered the under-15 final at the British Open Junior Squash Championships in Brimingham after defeating Yassin Shohday of Egypt on Sunday
The promising youngster took just 19 minutes to eliminate his opponent in straight games during the one-sided semi-final, winning in 19 minutes with a scoreline of 11-5, 11-8, 11-7.
However, the bad news for Pakistan was the defeat of Mohammad Ammad in the other under-15 semi-final and that of Noor Zaman in the last-four stage of the under-17 category.
Ammad was outclassed by England’s Yousuf Sheikh 9-11, 6-11, 7-11.
Noor lost in just 14 minutes to England’s Sam Todd with the scores being 11-6, 11-1 and 11-1.
