KARACHI: Talented Hasheesh Kumer survived a tough match to beat Asif Bachani of Hyderabad 7-5, 6-3 in the men’s singles quarter-final while Rayyan Jawad and Amin Shafi outplayed their respective opponents in the U-18 quarter-finals at the 7th Indus Pharma National Seniors & Juniors Tennis Championship here at Union Club on Monday.

Meanwhile, in the girls U-18 first-round clash, Zoha Asim cruised past Tehreem Yousuf 6-0, 6-0 while in the second round of U-16 singles, Mahatir Mohammad, Taha Aman and Yahya Ehtisham beat their respective opponents to advance.
