HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Commissioner Mohammad Abbas Baloch on Monday asked deputy commissioners and senior police officials to ensure closure of all marriage halls, banquets and lawns by 11pm. The closure timing must be observed strictly and action be taken against defiant people, he said while chairing a meeting in Shahbaz Building.
Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Abro, senior officials of the district administration and police department as well as representatives of marriage halls’ owners attended the meeting chaired by the commissioner.
He said a code of conduct in this respect would be issued and all SSPs would be authorised to implement it.
The commissioner said he would also convene another meeting soon to take a decision regarding closure of markets, bazaars, shops and eateries by 11pm.
DC Abro said owners of marriage halls, banquets and lawns must set up parking lots outside their vicinities to ensure a smooth flow of vehicular traffic within the adjacent localities.
