2 more Pakistani boxers crash out

KARACHI, Aug 17: Two more Pakistanis, Ali Mohammad and Meherullah, crashed out of Commonwealth boxing championship pre-quarterfinals in Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday.

According to information available, bantamweight Ali Mohammad lost to South Africa’s Bongani Malangu 7-21, while featherweight Meherullah was beaten by England’s Stephen Smith 5-15.

Earlier on Tuesday, another Pakistani lightweight Hayatullah had lost to South Africa’s Thanduxolo Dyani 15-21 in the pre-quarterfinals.

Pakistan’s light-welterweight Asghar Ali Shah is scheduled to fight Mark Hastle of Scotland late on Wednesday night.
