KARACHI: Leading political economist and researcher Dr Syed Akbar Zaidi has been appointed as executive director at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi.
The universities and boards department of the Sindh government issued a notification on Monday, according to which Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah appointed Dr Zaidi for a period of four years on the terms and conditions under the Sindh Universities and Institutes Laws (Amendment) Act 2018.
Dr Zaidi takes over from Dr Farrukh Iqbal, who had announced in June 2019 that he would be leaving the institution at the end of the calendar year.
